A song for all of you who have lost someone close and special. I first sang this song at an open mic and a fellow songwriter who I respect gave me tips on how to make it stronger, so I rewrote it.

Acoustic Guitar – Jeff Berkley
Keyboards – Josh Weinstein
Vocal, Acoustic Guitar – Dan Gindling

Lyrics

[C]I knew it [Gsus2/E]would take me more [Am]time
[F]Before my life again would [G]rhyme
Before my heart could find its peace
Knowing you and I can only be together

Chorus
In a summer breeze
I can’t remember when I last breathed
In a summer breeze

How could a love, strong for so many years
Be reduced to a photo book stained by tears
We found our life, we found our dreams
But now I can only find us

Chorus
In a summer breeze
I can’t remember when I last breathed
In a summer breeze

Chorus
In a summer breeze
I can’t remember when I last breathed
In a summer breeze

So I walk alone, my toes in the sand
Try to clutch your memory with both my hands
Try to reach for you when I'm in need
Knowing that you are waiting for me

Chorus
In a summer breeze
I can’t remember when I last breathed
In a summer breeze
